What advice would you give a younger you?
To my 4th grade self, Listen up kid, you're not always right. Your parents know what life is like. They are there for you. Take their advice once and awhile, trust me they are right 99% of the time. They have been where you are now. Learn from their mistakes. I'm going to give you a bit of advice from the future now. Convince Dad to buy stock in Google not Yahoo, trust me. Learn how to use computers. I don't mean play games and surf the internet, build software. You'll figure it out if you want to be surrounded by intelligent driven people. Lastly, drop out of high school freshman year and begin college immediately. I don't have much time because the portal is closing but heed these words! From the future you, p.s. The first time you ever go snowboarding watch out for the ski lift, it's an ankle breaker.

A conversation with Shell: How can the smarter use of energy and other resources unlock the true potential of cities?
First, install turbines at every drainage choke point. These would be used for power during monsoon season and heavy rainfall. Second, build a "flood system". This would be a centralized and elevated reservoir to be used as a cipher point. During flooding conditions turbines power pumps to begin a static flow of water out of the city. Once the process is begun it does the work itself. NY uses this same system to bring water IN to the city, I suggest using it to pump water out. As for stress put on to the system I know that this system is capable.

A conversation with Shell: How can the smarter use of energy and other resources unlock the true potential of cities?
There are two major issues in a city. Water and Water. Clean water must be brought in at a constant high volume rate for use in plumbing, cleaning, and drinking. On the other side of the coin is drainage. These two aspects of civil engineering will make or break a city. If you harness the kinetic power of water flowing into and out of a city would the amount of energy harnessed be worth the initial investment?
