My TED Story

A teacher at the University asked us to write short summaries of talks that we would later discuss in class. That's how I discovered TED; and became fascinated with it. I hope I'll be able to spread to word and help with the translation of talks to Serbian, my mother tongue.

  A reply on Conversation: Happiness?

  Feb 13 2013: Hm... just the other day I was helping my mom bake cookies. The radio was on - so we both simultaneously started humming the melody while mixing the ingredients and then broke into a song! It was a silly moment, but a very happy one. To me those 3 things usually bring out the positive emotions - friends and family, music and food. :)

  Feb 13 2013: There's no unique answer to that, you have to find the answer yourself. And the tough thing is - it's not a constant. Some things that used to make you happy won't work anymore while you'll discover old/new things that will bring you the feeling of happiness for whatever silly reason. What's even more complex - sometimes not being happy can make you happy too ;)

  Jun 21 2012: Ouch, sorry to hear that. As a RN I know it can be painful, stressful... awful.
  But I meant, more something I would do so the people would hear about me and think... "I really want to be a better person".

  Just to add, I believe that everything bad happened/is happening in this world just because some people have a notion that their life is more important than the lives of other people. I was taught (thanks mom!) to believe that in this life, the only thing we actually 'have' is each other...

  Jun 18 2012: Oh, God, no. How horrible would that be! We're all beautiful as we are. Not always smart, but beautiful in out differences, especially when it comes to different cultures and languages.
