Feb 8 2012: But to a point, arn't most things science? You can always at least try to explain something...
You could tell about the chemicals and electric signals in the brain, and from that try to stop the feelings from happining.
But would anyone ever want themselves manipulated like that? We are very far from anything that could ever do that, anyways.
But now, no. Science could not fix it with simple words. They could expain it, but never fix it.
Feb 7 2012: Great idea! Just a couple of things to add.
Often teachers do try to do more than one type of learning, but it's not quite common yet.
One of the main reasons, I think, is that change is too hard for education. The way it has been done, is the way is gong to be done... The idea of completely overhauling the education system is a rather daunting task, so I don't blame them.
Nevertheless, this needs to be done. There are so many things that just don't work in the system, and studies have proved them.
So, Julia, do you a specific thing (Technique or item) that could create a more audio and kinesthetic friendly atmosphere?
Feb 6 2012: No. Well, at least in my view. Change often is brought upon the world by people who are rather young, and oftentimes not really in a position of authority.
But, age does make a difference. Because of who has the positions of power, and that is the older people. Older people are the ones in control now, and always will be (Noting that people will age all the time). But remember, as you age, your power increases; not only as you gain respect, but as you gain wisdom. So once the older people die or become too old to hold power, the new generation comes in to play. So your (Or our) time will come.
Well, I did just kinda contradict myself there, but my point is you can do it either way. The changes you make now might be small, but go ahead and make them, someone with power and age might see them and join you. If you chose to wait, eventually power will be forced upon you, and you will have to do something; hopefully something good.

Good question.

A comment on Conversation: The education system should stop focusing primarily on the visual learners.
