Everything in my life led me to where I am now, directing the WinWin Institute for Response-Able ReEntry at Marion Correctional Institution.... growing up in Chile, descendent of gold miners and gypsies, married to a mathematician, being alive and grown up in the 60s, out-of-sync teacher and educator, mom to 3 grown ups who still sneak out at night, adventurous grandma, and blessed with brilliant, brave, amazing friends who teach me laughter yoga, Arabic, basket-making, and the value of hand holding.

Somebody told me to watch a talk....I did and got hooked. Started downloading talks to take into the prison where I work. The men got hooked. I noticed that there was a TEDx event coming up at Ohio State, close enough to participate. Got connected with them, especially with Jordan, and imagined doing an event from prison. Why not? With Jordan Edleheit, strategized, proposed, twisted arms and challenged and here we are, planning the TEDxMarionCorrectional for September 16. Now the story is working with talkers, finding how to put port-a-potties in the prison yard, wondering how to feed 300 people on no budget and designing an event that challenges and inspires this incredibly diverse audience.
