About Giorgio

Edit profile

I am a lateral thinker in a fast paced world.

I am a pioneer, I don’t conform, I look for the opportunity to innovate in everything I do and I like to take risks in trying what has been deemed too difficult by applying unconventional approaches.

I am curious, I live online connected to technology quite literally, and I walk the talk all the time. Connecting with customers and audiences is no longer about pushing messages via traditional marketing strategies but it’s about engaging communities connecting them via original crafted content.

Listening before pushing content and living in synchronicity with the events surrounding us is an essential part of the business of new marketing.

I hold more than 20 years of experience in various aspects of media production and creative technology, with a particular understanding of the new media models.

I have been pioneering various new media technology driven projects in the MENA, and I hold a successful track record in developing and adapting new technologies across multiple disciplines as well as incorporating them into media/educational eco-systems.

In MENA I have collaborated with world cutting edge technology driven companies such as TED Conferences and Apple and I have the experience required to guide, mentor and build new technology based initiatives.

I have also worked closely with Government entities in UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan developing and leading new media oriented activities.

I love the UAE to bits while living on the Grid, almost 24/7.

So, what's next?

How we can use social media on a world scale to launch a global campaign to recognize Internet access as a basic human right?
Very interesting TEDxTalk Sebeastian. As Kat pointed out the issue is much more relevant in emerging areas of the world. As pointed out by Sugata Mitra in his TEDGlobal 2010 Talk the potentials of unconditioned and unsupervised access to the grid can do miracles. We are all aware of the basic struggles of Academia not being able to keep up with the speed of the global innovations in all fields of mankind. The article 21 of the Chart of Human Rights states that "Everyone has the right of equal access to public service in his country" I strongly believe that access to the internet should considered a Public Service in each and every country.
