Jan 26 2012: look in to local beer companys, the new thing is flavored beer. alot of those fruits can be use in the malting process for unique tastes. the fastest growing beverage company right now is shorts brewing in the us they use all kinds of fruit peels for different type of beers. you may also be able to dry them shave them and sell in small bottles like spices.
  • A comment on Conversation: Lets spread the word about programs out there that give kids of all ages a safe place to talk

Jan 26 2012: I think if you sign up schools so that the kids all sign on on a sucured computer from school with a logg on id. that only your corp has access to personal names, you could have social forums that kids could talk to each other and not have to worry about preditors also you could incorpate help lines of approved places. and a online help person to foward conserns to school staff with it being annyomous. this is a good one that should go to state or fereial legislation to make it mandatory.

Jan 26 2012: great idea, it is just a lot of research currentily but if places knew where to post all studys and the public did not reconize them unless post on that site it would have the credability. kind of like kelly blue book for cars or consumers report.
  • A comment on Conversation: Reinventing the resume

Jan 26 2012: the items you are looking for are more often found out in the interview. behavorial based interview work the best that i have found. it show past present and future traits of the person. unforturily resumes tend to be borning. key points i look for is longgevity, education, and if they have extra type of activitys. these help on if they are someone that strives for things. most often the really good people still have jobs, most are not looking that is where head hunters are good. What would be nice is if people could post unconvential type of resumes on a site like I have a job in management, our company continues to grow, I like horseback riding, married with kids, 6 foot tall, large, played football, wresting, placed at states, volunteered and coached youths. did work for goodwill for severail years, will work for steak dinners and nice vactions, hours are not a problem, great leader, type A presonalliy, live in michigan don't want to move unless the pay is great. will learn new job if training avaible, no degree but some college.
ps I think this could be a new web site if you or any one else startes it just make sure i get a kick back. i just need the modavation and maybe ill start it.
  • A comment on Conversation: Why is it that American Corporations want the Government to fix their business problems?

Jan 26 2012: because it is an easy way out. no accountablity yes things would be tough if they did not but if they are not responsable why should we? let things take there course of action and others would take more precause going foward to do a better job. but our politians have no balls.
  • A comment on Conversation: Advertise 'TED Conversations' so that more people are aware of this section of the site.

Jan 26 2012: if everyone liked it on face book that are already members and asked there friends to like it if would not take long at all for others to join and help
  • A comment on Conversation: What is the best way to spread awareness of human trafficking in suburban areas?

Jan 26 2012: we have a register of csc people it is easy to use look up you area and find out who lives around you. we could do something like this a data base of missing people you could look up by photos put in it things like age, size, sex, hair color, langue type of region, race type of searches. you could also pull up geo coding of where people have disapeared from and what ages, sexes ect.. also when people are found. we could locate those on the maps showing where they were found and where some one might want to look for others that are missing. once the data base is created then get non profit or donations to advertise on tv or internet. in poorer cummites where they do not have these avuenes posters and a local spot to use the inter net like a police station, town hall, school would be the most impact full i would think. it wiould help the kids to help with things like "stranger danger"
  • A comment on Conversation: Roughly 52% of the world's population is under 30. What is best way to harness the energy and ideas of youth?

Jan 25 2012: well years ago bill clinton did a great job by the rock your vote campaigne, if we want the youth to grow and change we need to comunicate to them trough the areas that they are active on. then it was mtv. now that may be facebook or apps on phones, other tv forums ect.. todays more tech using youths will find things on there own but they still need something poining them in the right direction.
  • A comment on Conversation: What percentage is the value of a TED/TEDx attendee vs. a speaker at a TED/TEDx conference?

Jan 25 2012: I saw a much smaller one today there was 350 people for 8 speakers. Every minute was well worth it. I don't know where it will take me but I have been insired to try new things and grow and help myself and others to be better leaders. If I could afford it and have the time I would really like to attend one of these larger events.
