Jan 13 2012: You have found this elusive talk. I was searching YouTube, Ted, Google, etc. for terms like Ted, vacuum, science, monk, and just count not find it, yet wished to post a blog entry about science & religion related to this talk. You found it right away. Thanks so much Corvida.
Jan 12 2012: Tim, you are right on the nature of the obejction that I recall due to a misunderstanding of what it means for God to be everywhere. The presenter then related to how the scientist setup a group to start doing repeatable, real-world experiments, which were then discussed. Even though I have listened to talk from many venues, I am fairly (90%) certain it was one of the Ted Talks.

A reply on Conversation: What talk (as an aside) mentioned a scientist creating a vacuum/void, only to have a monk/religious person object on theological reason?
