About Me

I am London-based native Spanish and Basque translator with three years translation experience. I have a strong cinema background as I have studied cinema and cinema lighting, and I have worked as Gaffer and Director of Photography for more than five years in different film productions. Therefore, I am very familiar with film terminology, e.g. screenplay terms or film production jargon.

I have recently finished (with Distinction) an Audiovisual Translation MA at City University London. Thanks to having the necessary knowledge and professional subtitling software (Swift Create), during the last ten months, I have been working as a freelance translator subtitling different TV programmes broadcast on Spanish television channels such as Cuatro, Antena 3, MTV Spain or the Basque public television channel ETB.
