A comment on Conversation: What have you accomplished in response to a TEDTalk?
smartly, meaning that i had to look for a context for each talk, and i'd share them with specific people whom i thought would be affected by the talk, and take feedback for how well they fit in that context.
well, u can guess that watching the overall 60 talks did lots of things to me, but the side effects that i see now on the community i've been sharing with...is inspiring to me.

my day ZERO is today...
A comment on Conversation: A crowd-sourced website that acts as a listing of the questions that we do not have answers to. Never finished, always inspiring.
- do u think what should matter in school or later periods is the acceptance of the question? or the absence of the answer? (i'm discussing the last paragraph of the main idea description)
- i hear kids who havent been to school yet, ask the most unbelievably difficult and bizarre questions to their parents, the percentage of parents not shushing their kids is rising as i see, but what bothers me is that they make up an answer even if they dont have one! we underestimate what that does to them.
as those kids get into school, i notice they stop asking this kind of questions!
here i agree with you that teachers have the majority of this bad affect.
and i think this is very similar to what Ken Robinson said about creativity in children " they are being taught out of it ".
- my suggestion ... in coordination between school and parents, if only we could allow our kids to discover that we actually don't know the answer to some of their questions, maybe then we'll increase the chance of them finding answers.
A comment on Conversation: Let's challenge the notion of the apathetic youth. How can we promote activism in youth generations? What is successful activism today?
social networks are for sure making it easier, more powerful and much more affordable to become an activist.
in fact its kinda hard NOT to become an activist on facebook when you start noticing how people react to what u post.
how to promote an activist?
i was so inspired by what Derek Sivers said about the role the first follower plays to create a leader.
i recommend that talk as a good answer to the question

i thought i could form a network of like minded people by a direct referral chain.
i'm discussing a thinking workshop with a couple of friends of mine, asking each of them to think of two interesting like minded friends to invite.
the way you are thinking is obviously way more capacious. i can imagine the profile i'd design for myself, the thinking groups i might join and the and the criteria i'd search for in people. i'm thinking of how would the "advanced search" form look like.
a great idea is in labor i see, i cant wait.
