Jan 3 2012: First of all you could just go to sleep, give yourself some rest. Just relax.
Very coincidental, I'm also a sixteen year old with the same good intentions to get involved and help wherever I can. And I also just stumbled upon this site, I still have got part of the night left to sleep though. Not like I need much of it, but still.
Anyways, back to the point.. I can't really give you any names of any organizations you could volunteer or intern at, since I'm not an American myself and so I don't really know any specific organizations. But I do know that there's probably alot out there to do, to volunteer at, to help people with and to get involved with. You could go to hospitals, places for disabled people or to places for elders. (Not sure how you call these places in English.) You could help homeless people find a job. Or jobless people. I don't know. You could do anything, if you just go out there and look for things. =)
I myself at the time work with disabled people and am planning to volunteer in a psychiatric hospital as well. I just happen to have to much free time so I might as well spend it learning, experiencing and helping. Same as you probably.
Also, I'm sure you could find a lot of ways to get involved by yourself, it's not like there aren't many people who could use a hand out there! =)
Jan 3 2012: All this trying and intending to things.. My resolutions are the same as always, I'm going to learn more each and every day. I'm planning on feeling better each and every day. I'll be more flexible each and every day. I want to help and be able to help more and more people each day.
And it's not like I'm only going to try or intend. These things allow failure. And I don't. I allow mistakes, I embrace them so that I never have to make them again. But I will also make sure that everything I do gets right in the end. In which right is ofcourse a subjective thing, but still.
