Dec 27 2011: I think social networking has a time and a place. I further believe there is a balance that has to be learned and also taught to others. As Shweta said, "'Hi' on someone's wall might be better than no phonecall for 1 year!" I think this is a great example of how Facebook and other social media types can be used in a positive way. I do feel though that there is a certain amount of introvertism that social sites can provide and sometimes gives us a false sense of security and hope. This is where "reality" should kick in and we should realize that there is a certain level of one-on-one interaction that is required to keep that healthy balance in life.
Dec 27 2011: With technology advancing so fast and us now getting many books, publications, information electronically it's very surprising that publishers or eBook providers have not started to leverage the technology to draw readers in. I'm sure that interactive media will be the wave of the future, it's just going to take everyone some time to jump on board.
