An idea worth spreading

You know, it's amazing how leafs are able to collect the sun light and turns the light energy into food and other types of energies. My father and I were thinking of trying to collect something from the chloroplast just like we collected stuff from the atoms and use it instead of solar cells which cost too much. That is an idea that just may save the world from loss of energy and is infinite.

  Jan 10 2012: Sure! Now my point is that we can get the chloroplast out of the leaf alive. I do know how to get it out of it, but dead. If we add water and some other ingredients to keep it alive, like glucose, then we will be able to use it. My question now is what are the other ingredients that we need. We also need to test it.

  Dec 31 2011: Edward, I'm not really sure which is easier. I was thinking about trying to get the stroma from the chloroplast and somehow make it function without the other parts so it collects solar energy and because there is no plant (it's just the chloroplast) we take the energy and transform it to electrical energy to our liking.
