Since 2002, Queen Charis has been a prolific and captivating motivational speaker and spokesmodel. In 2009, Queen Charis began her professional start in entertainment on CBS Radio sharing the airwaves with national syndicated greats Glenn Beck and Dennis Miller to name a few. As Executive Producer of her own Talk Radio show; “The Real Life with The Queen” aired on The Big Talker Talk Radio, the sister station to the DMV’s #1 Radio Station, WKYS 95.5. A rookie in the talk radio industry, "The Queen"; through witty, intelligent and intriguing conversations, has garnered Ms. Charis the reputation as DMV’s Global Girl Reaching Out To All The World. The highly anticipated “The Queen Charis Show” has been compared to “The Oprah Winfrey Show” to the youth and young adults; expected to debut in 2012. “The Queen Charis Show” is the Nation’s only Talk Show catering to the direct interest of youth from 12-25. The Hottest Celebrity Teen and Young Adult Interviews, Hot Topics and Positivity parents can be proud of are the show’s concepts. The youth as her passion, “The Queen Charis Show” is the perfect media outlet to empower youth all over the world. Queen Charis’s acting abilities has landed her first role of her first audition for a movie in 2010, as a single-mother of an out of control teenage daughter in the Movie “One Chance” written by Joy Cheriel Brown and directed by Dwanye Brown who has been recognized by several industry awards. The Red Carpet Premier was on May 21th 2011.
In February 2011, Queen Charis landed a Cameo Appearance in “String’s Dream” a 40 minute short film about the relationship between a bully and the victim of bullying. “Strings Dream” is the introduction of an anti-bullying initiative “Don’t Bully; B.U.L.L.Y. “Be yoU. Learn 2Love Yourself”, and features Nationally Syndicated Radio One Host Russ Parr, Grammy Award Nominated Recording Artist Raheem DeVaughn, along with a host of Local Celebrities; produced by Anwar “Big G” Glover from the highly-acclaimed HBO Series “The Wire” directed by Jamal Sprately, founder of Circle of Hope; and presented by United Way of the National Capital Area and Community of Hope A.M.E. Church. The Red Carpet Private Screening was on Friday, March 25, 2011.
She has received film credit from the movie “Nocturnal Agony” featuring Lawrence “Hilton” Jacobs and shot her first commercial for Capital Hill Courier Service.
Queen Charis is a native of The DC Metropolitan area and grew up in the city of Landover; Maryland; home of Martin Lawrence, Sugar Ray Leonard and the late great Len Bias. She graduated from Laurel High School and briefly attended Mount Vernon College in Georgetown in D.C to pursue her dreams in the entertainment industry. Queen Charis is a licensed Minister having attended Grace and Mercy Bible College where she graduated in 2004. From Homelessness to Hope- One Woman’s Tragedy Of Homelessness Offers Hope For Americans Through Financial Empowerment. Queen Charis offers optimism to Americans who have lost their jobs, homes; either found themselves homeless and hopeless through rebuilding lives across America. Who is Queen Charis? Queen Charis is a successful business woman who started her first company at the tender age of 24. Having amassed millions; as a leader in her then industry; she had nothing to show for it. It wasn't until after one grave business decision caused plummeted sales resulting in her nearly losing her company through eviction did Ms. Charis garner a healthy respect for the wealth creation process. In April 2007, Queen Charis became homeless with a teenage son, living from hotel to hotel, living out of rented cars, and drowning in debt. Ms. Charis became what she has coined “The Working Homeless”. She aspires to open a Center to develop programs for this growing overlooked population.
