Connecting people and transcending physical, emotional and ideological boundaries.
I work with Japanese university students who return from a semester long overseas study program. Their English language ability is quite good and they are keen to make a contribution to the world. In our seminar class, we are working to both review and translate TED Talks. Students use their English skills to help bring the best of TED to Japanese who need language support. My students are excited about making a contribution to the world, and I think this is an idea that is worth spreading.
