master student Industrial Design Engineering at the TU Delft, founder of OODA (OpenOpenDesignAgency).
Open source, generative algorithms, evolution, design, technology and all that is new.
The OpenOpenDesignAgency is now doing a project into finding an application for TurrisMotus (Tower that moves in Latin). A structure I believe has not been made before and want to share with the world. Currently you can order a prototype via Shapeways.com and join the project by playing with it and sharing your thoughts on where to apply it / what to apply it for.
OODA, TurrisMotus
Combining various fields, / things / methods / memes, into one streamlined process creating something completely new.
Making the best use of today's possibilities I want to share my discovery with everyone in order to speed up development of this potentially game changing structure.
I started the OpenOpenDesignAgency (.blogspot.com) as a means for finding out if open design is really possible and to find a format for it. I have been inspired by a lot of the internet movements and the book Open design NOW. But until now have not had a project to work on.
Since this summer I've been working on my own research project investigating a structure I call TurrisMotus at the faculty of architecture (TU Delft) I took the elective coarse Stand-Up Architecture. Allowing me to research the paper model I made during the summer. Now I want to continue the project on a bigger scale to find an application for it where it could possibly out preform current products. And simultaneously try to do a open design project. Both for fun and my interests in the future of design.

A comment on Conversation: How will you strive to change the World?
I only recently started doing my own thing, which is trying to do design in a different way. I've set up the OpenOpenDesignAgency and just this week went public with it. So no results yet, but right now everyone can have a prototype printed via Shapeways.com and join me in investigation the possibilities of a new structure I found. Its called TurrisMotus and it has got a fascinating way of moving.
I like your project and hope you can appreciate mine,
