Angela Lee Duckworth: The key to success? Grit
If it is as important as what she wants us to think, she'd better define the term "Grit" better. Good science depends on, not just having "grit", but defining your research question very specifically and formulating clear, testable hypotheses. She may be a good scientist, but this doesn't come through in her talk.

Colin Powell: Kids need structure
This talk has undone all the goods TED has created so far. Watching this along side Ken Robinson's talk shows how problematic this talk is. All he wants is to teach kids to fear authorities and obey without asking questions. "Structure" is a scary term. This word has led to numerous wars.

Shea Hembrey: How I became 100 artists
I don't get it. Maybe I am not an artistic person. While other TED speakers are working to solve some of the biggest problems in the world, he spent two years of his life doing.... this? Or is this a joke that I didn't get?
