A comment on Conversation: If you could warn your past self about anything only using two words, what would you say?

    Feb 4 2013: Its experience
  • A reply on Conversation: What are the initiatives to be taken to increase the Internet penetration in India ??

Feb 3 2013: Kate, thanks for comments.

I agree with you that there are still certain class of people in our economy who have scarcity for food - Government is and has taken many measures to address this issue.

Having said that, the challenges other side is education and internet penetration - which i believe can make our economy grow faster. Our country is witnessing towns and villages emerging as great contributors to our GDP - hence proper education in these emerging towns is our focus in addition to distribution of food.
  • A reply on Conversation: Will every G20 nation can become a super power one day or the other ??

Feb 8 2012: All nations to become super powers at the same moment , might not be possible as you have said.
There would always be differences between countries in many parameters. Each one being different from others , would make each one to lead or follow the rest.
Therefore , superpower can be only one or as you mentioned there can be a new title called " Hyperpower".

The very basic definition of super power might change . A super power nation may become a advisior , role model , global friendly , transparent and may also open up or create opportunities for more trades from more countries.
  • A reply on Conversation: Is crisis good in its own way ??

Feb 7 2012: Yes , People in groups by forming new international / national monetary groups can be used to monitor the occurance of crisis.

Technology can be used to monitor and regulate new products and their transcations , which are at times can be root causes for damage.

Hence , people and technology can be major resources which are , if used in a proper direction can monitor and avoid crisis.
  • A reply on Conversation: Is crisis good in its own way ??

Feb 7 2012: Exactly , Crisis provides indications which can be used as red alert signals for prevention of any sort of damage in the future.

Crisis and the pre or post crisis analysis , is what one should observe and learn.

A reply on Conversation: Is crisis good in its own way ??

Feb 6 2012: David , you are correct.

There are still deep pockets , which have excess money , while the economy is on slower pace.
Its an clear indication of parallel economy or un accounted economy.
  • A reply on Conversation: If you could learn 1 thing from a child what would it be ?

Feb 2 2012: As a Kid , Everything that we see is new and every experiecne that we undrego is unique .

As we grow older , we operate with filters , Eg : Yeah , i know this can never happen , I know he will not do this , i knew that he will be late and etc etc etc....

Above all this , as we grow older , we carry always a Tag called "Experience " with us , which we always refer to or compare , with the present happenings.

Whats your take on this ????

  • A comment on Talk: Paul Collier on the "bottom billion"

Jan 31 2012: Fantastic speech.. the ideas like auction for natural resources extraction & checks on functioning of the government , if implemented , in the emerging markets , can really help the bottom billion .
  • A reply on Conversation: Should people migrate from small towns to bigger cities for opportunities or create and develop their own franchisee in their towns ??

    Jan 31 2012: I agree with your thought .
People can create opportunities themselves in their own towns. Businesses from small towns can be major revenue contributors.

Which towns in your country have increased trade and inhabitants over the last 5 years ??

Please name a few , which come to your mind without referring any statistics .
