Oct 8 2012: Or maybe I should have asked what SHOULD either society or govt do to compensate/remediate those children whose education over last 20 yrs was a complete waste of time/failure (thereby impacting their future job opps and earning capacity.
Oct 8 2012: For those children whose education and future employment opportunities and lifetime earning capacity has been handicapped by having spent the last 14 yrs in a frankly inadequate educational system that turned out to be a waste of time (and for some, money too), what will society or government do for these kids to either compensate them for the loss, or remediate the situation?
Nov 20 2011: Totally agree. I hate how society tries to neatly pigeon-hole and stereotype everyone and hold universal truths based on those generalizations that often don't take into account differences in personality, and/or aren't true. Even certain health conditions can result in a truthful person failing a lie detector test! Watching this video brought up years of angst for me over situations where I had been accused of lying based on some stupid commonly accepted psycho-babble principle about "liars" when I was beiing truthful. The end result was making me a bit of a misanthrope, and a loner who doesn't trust or even like people very much because I know they are making judgements about me that aren't true based on armchair, ivory tower psychology instead of getting to really know me.
