  A comment on Conversation: Should everyone of us fear the moment when he achieves his biggest dream ? How will his life be after achieving the ultimate dream?

  Nov 22 2011: I have experienced the fear of not being good enough to reach a goal aimed for, never a fear of reaching it. I can't imagine reaching perfection in achievements or personal growth. There is always a "better". Except in my garden. Here perfection is everywhere.

  A comment on Talk: Brené Brown: The power of vulnerability

  Nov 17 2011: Brene's talk confirmed in the most heart-warming manner my own experience. As a life-long stutterer, I know how important communication is. For most of my life I abhored the idea of openness and vulnerability. My goal was always to hide the real me. This prevented any chance of meaningful communication. I felt an outsider, not enough in any and every life situation.
  A few years ago the pain of not changing became greater than the fear of changing. I found the courage to ask, 'will you be my friend?" I learned to forget myself and really connect with others; others who had their own crosses to bear. I discovered an ability to become aware of and change false beliefs and bad habits gathered without discrimination.
  Today I believe in the goodness in people I meet while using life's experience to avoid being gullible. My fear of people and the resulting stutter has melted away like snow in Spring. The certainty I always demanded is replaced with questions I'm happy to not know the answer to. Past regrets and fear of the future have made way for a burning desire to live in the moment, knowing we're all connected in a real, meaningful way. Brene, I know you are right because I'm living your words.
