Don't remember how it happened exactly, but I think I found TED casually browsing the Web. I got hooked instantly. Interesting people, interesting ideas, the range of topics covered, from design to scientific research, were second to none. I felt like it was a place for me to be.
I have done one translation of a presentation I found personally interesting, but I have several other presentations "in the pipeline" waiting for my translation, so chances are I will stick around with TED for a while.
Due to distances and other factors, I have not yet attended any of TED events in person, but I certainly plan on doing so in the future.
