Dec 6 2011: In my humble opinion, education should not be objectified by putting a single purpose of its existence. I mean, in education itself there are thousands of branches such as medicine, archaeology, sport science, and so on. Each of those branches have their own individual purpose. For example, we study music to become a musician, we study medicine to become a doctor, and we study education to become a teacher. If you look at the examples i have given, it is fair to say that we study to get a job. In a way, that is correct. The purpose of formal education system is in fact to get better and more respectable jobs. But for me, education is too diverse to be given a single purpose. Not everyone study to get a job, some study because they are passionate about it. However, i would propose my thought on "what should the purpose of education be?", because if i don't, why would i comment here? haha. :)
I think the purpose of education should be to fill our minds with useful knowledge and skills that will help us in our life. Aside from that, i don't think that education should be focused on students only, because i believe in lifelong learning in which the main principle is 'as long as i live, i learn.'
Nov 16 2011: I think that our privacy is under our own control. Of course there will be phone logs n other types of surveillance to monitor crimes n vandalism, but they are not shown to the public. In a way, our privacy is still preserved.
We have control over our own privacy because we are the ones who decide what to tell other people about us.
If you don't want people to know certain information about you, you can just change your privacy settings, whether in facebook, myspace, twiiter, or even in your life. You choose what to tell others. Ultimately, if you don't want your privacy to be intruded, don't go on facebook or any other social network. That is if you can, because i think if you're on ted, most certainly you're also on facebook.
p/s: this is my understanding of transparency and intrusion.
transparency: the things about you that you allow people to know.
intrusion: the things about you that you don't want people to know but that certain someone told other people about it.
Nov 12 2011: None of us should fear the achievement of our biggest dreams. We should fear about not achieving them.
If i achieved my biggest dreams, i would be the happiest man alive. My life would surely be changed for the better.
Of course there will be challenges and obstacles, but that's life. No pain, no gain.
Everybody would surely have doubts whether they will make it or not. Sometimes i feel like giving up, but i know if i give up on my dreams, i give up on life. Nobody alive should give up on life. Just try your best, and have fun. :D
Nov 9 2011: Its the most important thing. If you are able to turn the negative comments into motivation, then you are one step away from success. If you are able to receive the positive comments and not be satisfied with where you are, then you can go even further. Nonetheless, we are humans, not robots. We are vulnerable, and all that we can really do is, try our best. So, do your best! ;)

We all go through different experiences at different times. In my opinion, this shapes the way we think, and the way we see things. Nov 1 2011: 1. Traveling for me is a way to free our mind from the stress of our daily routine. It also helps to improve our understanding of everything in life. During travels, if we're lucky, we can identify what are the things that really matter in our lives. A single travel could change our perception on life and how we live it.
2. I cannot specify one place because i want to go to pretty much everywhere, so yeah, anywhere that i can go to.
3. I can only recommend my country, particularly my state, Sabah, because i only have been traveling around here. We have beautiful islands, breathtaking scenery, great foods, and we also have the tallest mountain in South East Asia.
p/s: I hope I can travel around the world some time soon. haha. :D
