Harold S. Reed, Jr. was born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. He briefly attended Rutgers University, before leaving school to enlist in the United States Air Force. Harold proudly served as a Medical Services Specialist during Operations: Desert Shield, Desert Storm, & Desert Calm. By God’s grace he was only gone for less than a year, and when he returned home he also returned to school to study Criminal Justice and Psychology in the hopes to pursue a career in Law Enforcement.
In February of 2000, Harold was hired by the East Orange Police Department and in August of the same year, at his police academy graduation, he proposed to his girlfriend Taria. On the same date one year later they were married, and their son Alexander (A.J.) was born the following year just about a week after their 1st wedding anniversary. In November of 2002, he left the East Orange Police Department and joined the Woodbridge Township Police Department.
In 2006, after encouraging Taria to start her own successful photography business, he decided to share his motivation with the world by becoming a public speaker & author. He created his company – HRJR Enterprises, a business and life coaching consultation firm that focuses on people achieving massive success by encouraging individuals to face, fight & free themselves from their fears and flaws. In 2007 he self-published and released his first book, “Find A Way to Make A Way – You’re Either Part of the Solution or Part of the Problem!” Based upon both the content of the book and his independent sales potential, in 2008, he was signed to Tate Publishing & Enterprises with the 2nd edition of his book released in early 2009. The book is currently available at major retailers such as Barnes & Noble.com, Borders.com, and Amazon.com.
The year 2009 was very prosperous year for Harold. He & his wife welcomed the addition of their second son, Justin. Harold obtained his certification as a Professional Life Coach, and he was featured on the “Claudia Jordan Show” on Jamie Foxx’s Foxxhole Radio (Sirius/XM Satellite Radio), in Los Angeles , California.
Harold believes that life is about service and in that in order to receive God's blessings we must first become blessings ourselves. Also in 2009, Harold expanded his brand by becoming a Certified Professional Life Coach. In 2011 he retired from law enforcement, focusing more of his life towards being of service to his fellow man without many of the restrictions bound upon him by the uniform.
Using his brand of "Motiv-ACTION" (Motive + ACTION = Results!), Harold is quick to warn people that he is not your typical motivational speaker. His messages are powerful and sometimes painfully honest. He believes that the solutions to many of life's problems can be found within the individual. However, if one will not face his flaws, he will not fight his flaws; and if he will not fight his flaws, he will never be free of them.
Justice & Fairness. I believe there are things that are right & wrong; however, I prefer to walk away from anything not worth the effort of debate. I don't need to be right in order to BE right.
Anything that will make me a better thinker. Anything that will make me work harder to improve myself so that I may share the experience with others and thus encourage them to improve themselves.
Begins today ... STAY TUNED!
