About Me

Andreea is a Ph.D. student in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University (Canada). She received her M.A. in British and American Literature from the University of Delaware (USA) and her B.A. in Romanian and English Language and Literature from the Babes-Bolyai University (Romania). Her areas of interest include English as an Additional Language Education, Literacy Education, Language policies in multicultural environments, Multimodality, the Sociology of Objects and Actor-Network Theory. Currently, she is involved in a long–term international research project that assesses non-native English speakers‘ ability to acquire the language using unconventional teaching methods.
