I've been playing and performing the Violin for 9 years now. I'm currently in College at a very prestige music school here in Columbus, Georgia. I have friends and colleagues here who have left Julliard and Curtis Institute of Music to come to here at the Schwob School of Music which lets me know I'm in the right place. My goal from here is to get my Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance and obtain a Master's at either the 2 previous schools mentioned, preferably Curtis.
I'm also profound in Technology, I have CISCO Networking Certification which basically means I know how to set up a network for a home or business and how to set up security and troubleshoot bugs etc. I also type pretty fast!

Always do what you love and pursue it. Don't be that person sitting in a cubicle who can never truly be a somebody.

A comment on Conversation: What if you have a great child that has fallen through the cracks of the education system because Parents lack access?
My parents abandoned me only when I was 4.
I found my passion playing the violin.
I am now in College with a Full-Ride scholarship (Going to college for free) for the next 4-6 years of my life.
Tell your child that "The things you don't have access to in life will only make you stronger." He/She will see for themselves in the future that they have grown stronger than He/She's own parents in the will to work hard and become a somebody.
Cheers.
A comment on Conversation: I want a career in science, but I am being pushed away by everybody I reach out to.
It's great that you're doing something that you love and not just something that will ending making you very unhappy.
Best wishes.
A comment on Conversation: Music publishers should release and sell versions of albums with the lead guitar (or other instrument) missing.

A comment on Conversation: An idea to help kids "escape" poverty. They have the potential, they just don't know or believe it yet.
Simple as that.
A comment on Conversation: We have to create the LINUX of school education for the schooling process to change & become effective!
