  • A comment on Conversation: Are tougher laws the answer to reduce corruption? Or should we reduce our greed by becoming more spiritual?

Aug 29 2011: I think that we need laws because it's in the nature of the human being to be selfish and attracted by the power. And we all know that money is power and people want to own more and more. This trend is underlined by the consumer society which make us victims of advertising and transform us in consumer machines attracted by the material side of life. Thus laws and education can change mentalities. But it's going to be very difficult !!!!
  • A comment on Conversation: Middle East Revolution

Aug 29 2011: The best thing to do is let these new democracies find their own model of democracy, let's not impose anything. But they have to share with us some principles such as equal citizenship, the right to vote, limited mandate (it's going to be the case in egypt) and of course freedom of speech.
  • A reply on Conversation: What do you believe is the best ability you posess to enrich the world around you?

Aug 29 2011: I think religionists have faith not in a higher power but above all in an absolute power and the best example is God. And the difference between atheists and religionists is that the first are bound to forget humility, intellectual one for instance. In fact, the religionists can understand and accept that there a being who has a better knowledge than him, so he can begin his path for humility without losing his self esteem and confidence of course. To conclude, we have to underline that there are some atheists who could reach humility but it's harder in my opinion.
  • A reply on Conversation: What do you believe is the best ability you posess to enrich the world around you?

Aug 28 2011: 1 day ago: I think that everyone believe in something, it could be god, money, reason, but we are all believers and our believe and above all the way we live with this believe is our difference. And thanks to this believe we can enrich ourselves and people around us, exposing them other points of view.
  • A comment on Conversation: What do you believe is the best ability you posess to enrich the world around you?

Aug 28 2011: I think that we are all believers because there are some things which overcome us and we cannot response to some phenomenons. What's more, some people are not aware that they are believers, in fact our knowledge is not perfect, from a level we cannot give answers reasonably; that means that we often use our reason for thinking but in some cases we use our heart for understanding. In my opinion, a believer has the humility of knowledge, but the non believer could have the pride of knowledge. That's why some people who call themselves non believers are in reality believers because they believe in themselves, in the power of thinking and knowledge but they aren't aware of.

Aug 28 2011: The idea of charter city is not new, it sounds like an utopian city

A reply on Conversation: Communism destroys development of the society

Aug 28 2011: I really agree with u, I am not telling u that capitalism should disappear but it needs somme reforms, the power of capitalism is competitiveness, it tells people you are free and you can innovate and have the benefits of this effort and work but unfortunately it forgets to tell them that a real success should not create and cause the failure or even more the death and mistreatment of some people. To conclude, just be aware of what's happening around us , nowadays capitalism is fashionable as communism was yesterday. So let's not reject the whole capitalist or communist system, but try to take the best.

A comment on Conversation: Communism destroys development of the society

Aug 27 2011: I think that we should remind some benefits of communism such as solidarity. In fact, capitalism needs some reforms, we are all fed up with this integrism of markets which make us think that thanks to capitalism there is developemnt but in reality it's just an illusion. Capitalism makes inequalities grow faster and faster, and individualism spread also. Thus i invite u to see what's happening in Africa or Asia ( India for example), it's just a minority who are the winner and others are victims of capitalism. I don't want the soviet or marxist system get back, we saw their appalling results but i think that capitalism needs some ethics.

A comment on Conversation: Do you think East Asia will obtain global dominance by 2015?

Aug 26 2011: I don't think china will obtain global dominance because they don't want to. In fact, chinease consider china as the center of the world and they don't want to dominate it. But, they are going to impose themselves economically and become the first but without dominating the world. In fact, they don't have yet the ability to influence other countries and people, And don't forget the current arab uprisings, i think that geostrategically, it will change a lot if arab people manage to make these revolutions their own revolutions and try to mature it.
