If you could open-source one piece of technology, what would you choose and why?
I read one of the posts on TED about Oxitocin, I beleive that is how you spell it. It is the chemical in the brain that makes people "Nice" There are many things that are listed here that could be accomplished if people would just work together and cooperate instead of worrying about who is going to get the credit, the money, the power. That may be too much to ask from "NICE" but there is always hope.

Eric Dishman: Take health care off the mainframe
This is such a common sense approach to medical care. Personally, I have lived with my body with its strengths and weaknesses for 75 years. I have had bronchittis probably 50 times in my life and I know when it reaches the point it is not going to improve without medication, and yet, most often I must make an appointment with my doctor to get a prescription for an anti biotic. Not only do I have to make the appointment but many times the doctor feels I should give it a few days and then I must make a second appointment because my experience is that it does not improve on its' own after it reaches a certain point. The doctore does not know that because they are not familar with my pattern of this illness, but I do. I call for the second appointment and based on time available, my illness progresses to the point of having to take anti biotics for a longer period of time and most often I must go to the doctor for a third appointement to be sure I really need an extention of the anti biotic. The point I am making is...if I could just get an anti biotic at the time I know my condition warrents it, I could save 3 trips to the doctor and much less stress on my body, as well as less medication, to say nothing of about 12-15 days of illness. Go Figure.
