About Me

Adnan Shamsi has over twenty years of experience in financial advisory, investments and insurance. Major Fortune 500 companies have sought Mr. Shamsi’s opinions and advisory services; he has also worked with small & medium sized companies and individuals advising on the mitigation of financial and operational risk, securing investment opportunities and asset management.
Mr. Shamsi is currently with the Professional Economic Growth Group | Hornor, Townsend & Kent, Inc. where he addresses the needs of select clients. At PEGG | HTK, Mr. Shamsi specializes in meeting the needs of Families, Business Owners and Organizations – including Physicians in Group or Individual practice, as well as Professionals in transition: those changing jobs or careers, or impacted by a corporate downsizing. As a father of a Special Needs child, he also provides expertise in planning for the specific needs of families of children with disabilities. Adnan was previously with UBS AG, the world’s largest wealth management firm based in Switzerland, and with Bank of America and Chase Manhattan Bank.

Adnan received his MBA and Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a BA in Economics and a BA in Middle East Studies from Rutgers University.
Adnan currently serves as Co-President of the Thunderbird Alumni Association – Princeton Chapter (TAAPC, www.thunderbird.edu or follow on twitter http://twitter.com/PrincetonTbird. Adnan is also the founding moderator of the PrincetonSpecialKids listserv for special needs families. He also serves on the Planning Committee of the Princeton Public Library to plan and stage TEDx Princeton (www.ted.com ).

On the Advisory Board of CAMP Philadelphia, which is holding its fourth annual “CAMP Leadership Summit” in Princeton, NJ in April 2011;
Served as co-Chair of the Princeton Cares Team for the 2010 Central New Jersey Autism Walk to benefit Autism Speaks to raise funds for Autism research, treatment and community-based programs (www.autismspeaks.com).
