About Me

Ken attended Art School in the Hague in Holland in the early 1970s. He returned to his native Canada to study humanities and psychology at Trent University. In 1977, he journeyed to Boulder, Colorado to participate in Naropa Institute's fourth summer session, and returned to Peterborough, Ontario by bicycle to establish an art and design practice which became the Ordinary Studio, renown for serigraph editions. In 1984 Ken and his young bride moved to the Maritimes beckoned by the growing Buddhist community in Nova Scotia inspired by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. In the time elapsed Ken has deepened his design and mindfulness practice, all the more while raising a beautiful family of four.

Ken's master disciplines stem from his long dedication to design process, visual literacy, working with words, and computer coding for integrity and elegant outcomes.

What was the first conversation ever? I love having conversations about the nature and evolution of conversation itself. Are we simply saying the same things over and over again?
