Event photos
Share highlights from the proceedings of your event by uploading all digital photography to Flickr. Tag each photo "TEDx."
If Flickr is inaccessable in your region, contact TED about alternatives for sharing your event photography.
After you've uploaded your photos, don't forget to browse photography from other TEDx events.
Event video
Video of all original content from your TEDx event must be uploaded to the TEDx channel on YouTube.
Before you upload anything, you must confirm that all the images, music and video clips used in your speakers' presentations are cleared for re-distribution on YouTube and TED.com. Getting the initial clearance is the responsibility of the speakers; collecting documentation of the licenses (and providing it to TED if necessary) is the responsibility of the host.
Uploading your event video
- When your video is ready to upload, email us and we will provide you with the credentials to upload to the TEDx YouTube account
- Upload your videos to the channel within one week
- Title each video in this way: TEDx[event name]-[speaker name]-[event mm/dd/yy]
- In the description field, describe the speaker and the talk, and include the following text:
About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations) - Tag your video "TEDx" and "TEDx[event name]"
- Make sure the privacy setting on the video is set to "Share your video with the world"
- Email us the links to the videos you've uploaded -- and tell us which videos are the best
If we select one of your talks to publish as a TEDTalk on TED.com, we will notify you via email and provide further instructions.
