How We Respond Is Who We Are

TED and Nokia share a powerful conviction: today’s technologies enable us to respond better to the people in our lives, to new ideas, and to fresh perspectives on how the world can work. And what we say when we respond helps define who we are as individuals and as a community.

That’s why Nokia is proud to be TED’s Global Communications Partner in 2009, supporting TED’s mission of Ideas Worth Spreading.

One focus of the collaboration between Nokia and TED is a website that features TED Fellows posing provocative questions to the world at large. Visitors are invited to post written responses, or responses based on photos or video. The project highlights the many modern modes of communication, and demonstrates that when we listen, and create dialogue, we accomplish more.

TED Fellows

In 2009, TED launched its TED One-Year Fellows program with announcements at each conference. At Long Beach, TED brought 40 Fellows; in Oxford, 25 Fellows; and in India, another 100 Fellows. Nokia is pleased to team with TED in the search for the next inspiring generation of leaders, thinkers, entrepreneurs and activists, all of whom have Ideas Worth Spreading.
