Attendance at a TED conference is by both application and invitation. If you'd like to come to TED, apply to attend. We read every application, and actively seek out leading thinkers and doers across a wide range of fields.

Apply now to attend TEDActive 2010 or TEDGlobal 2010 >>

Everyone can join TED.com as a website member, free. To attend a TED Conference, you must submit an application to be invited.

Applications are approved only if:

+ There is availability in the membership category being applied for
+ The applicant is likely, in our judgment, to be a strong contributor to the TED community and/or the ideas discussed at TED and/or the projects and TED Prize wishes that come out of the annual conference.

There are several categories of TED Conference membership: Conference, Donor and Patron memberships, as well as Reduced-Price Memberships for those in the nonprofit and education worlds, and Fellowships awarded to promising attendees -- as well as memberships to TEDActive, our simulcast event, and Associate memberships, which include a live feed of the upcoming TED Conference to one computer.

TEDGlobal and TEDIndia are considered separate events and are open to TED members and non-members alike.
