Removal of Members

TED Conferences LLC reserves the right, at any time and for any reason, to revoke a TED Live Membership from an individual or a group with full refund (minus any balance totaling the cost of benefits already received). No refund will be provided if any individual or group does not adhere by the terms and conditions set forth and all membership benefits will be revoked.

Note: We use IP identification technology to detect whether multiple computers are accessing the web stream from one account. Logging into the web streams from multiple locations is in violation of the terms and conditions. Access to the conference and membership will automatically be revoked if access to one account from multiple sources is detected.

Tax-deductibility

Payments for TED Live memberships take the form of a contribution to the foundation which owns TED, the Sapling Foundation, a private 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation. We will send you a receipt acknowledging the contribution for registrations. A portion of your membership is not tax-deductible (value of services received).

For the TED Live membership, this amount is $300. The amount the member pays in excess of the value of services received may be tax-deductible as a philanthropic contribution, although you should consult your own advisers as individual situations may differ. Program features and terms and conditions are subject to change. If you have any questions regarding the TED Live membership, please contact live@ted.com.
