Survey TED presenters (and audience members) for history of special needs.
It would be so valuable to have a tangible portrait of contemporary innovators and how many of them had backgrounds where they struggled with school and learning in some way(s). As a teacher I passionately believe that many of our most gifted, most brilliant, most creative thinkers are the ones that struggle the most with school, whether that means socially, mentally, or physically (or even some combination of the three). We need to 'out' this aspect of the system if we are to motivate and recruit agents of change.
