Wikimedia as the vessel for Open Sciences.
Wikimedia, a division of Wikipedia, is aimed at the transmission of knowledge and open content. | http://wikimedia.ca/wiki/Main_Page | "To aid and encourage people to collect, develop and disseminate knowledge and other educational, cultural and historic content in the public domain or under a license that allows everyone to freely use, distribute and modify said content without the payment of royalties" | Now, if we encouraged the scientific community to adopt this method (it wouldn't be too difficult because surely the scientists would benefit from the content alone), we could much more efficiently use our knowledge collectively, as opposed to hoarding it, The incentive would have to be something applicable to everyone, because it'd need to attract interest, but more than that, hold universal value. People don't want to get nothing directly after giving something away. the Creative Commons does a good job of the accreditation aspect, but their has to be another element. We need Ideas!
