What is your favourite quote and why?
I would like to begin here a compendium of those bits of wisdom humanity perceives to be most true or without exception.
It is not necessary to name who might be credited with saying your selection, as no such person can honestly claim to have been without some outside inspiration, which catalyzed their creativity and moved them to express their insight.
Much like what you are called here to do.
If you yourself have distilled some wisdom through reflection, please allow me to present you this moment to pass it on here for consideration or perhaps start your own string.
The purpose of all this is to provide a most efficient tool for correlating the most valid ideas about morality and what we perceive to be real or important across culture or socialization. I would then like to work with you to turn this soil and see what new things (ideas) might grow. Food for the soul.
You are encouraged to emulate the creative process here so: COPY, COMBINE and TRANSFORM! Help me correlate.
Please comment in a constructive way if you agree or not with anything posted here and explain why.

Doubt requires more courage than conviction does, and more energy; because conviction is a resting place and doubt is infinite.

Happiness: a way of travel, not a destination
The choice may have been mistaken; the choosing was not.
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
In youth we learn; in age we understand
Pay attention. You can't learn from what you choose to forget or decide to ignore
The plural of anecdote is data
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened
To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you
something else is the greatest accomplishment
Fall seven times, stand up eight
Strive for progress, not perfection
If you only judge yourself by success, you are setting yourself up for failure
Pride is a close relative of narcissism
Privilege yields opportunity, and opportunity confers responsibilities
Great wisdom looks like stupidity
Study extensively, inquire carefully, ponder thoroughly, sift clearly, practice earnestly
Practice discipline to stop the onslaught of illusion
Indulged doubt becomes denial
At the moment you choose to stop growing, your world will begin to shrink
The immediate trumps the important
Flatter me, and I may not believe you.
Criticize me, and I may not like you.
Ignore me, and I may not forgive you.
Encourage me, and I will not forget you
