Music. Tell me what it is. What are we doing with it and why?
I've delved a little into the evelutionary roots of music through a book called sex, genes and Rock 'n roll.
I'd love to know more about music's history and shifts in purpose if any. Some believe we developed music before language as a sexual display. Tell me more. I'd love to know. What does it do for you? Do you know what its doing for you. I suspect it moves people in many ways. Perhaps religion hi jacked music for some time. If we lost our language would we begin again by singing?
