What is your favorite color? Or color combinations. Is there any color you don't like at all? Do you know why?

Blue... Calm, traveling...
Red... Passion, nervous...
Orange.... Friendship...
Purple... Spiritual, magical
Grey... Professional
Green... Nature, fresh
Blue and gold... Classical, rich
Peach and turquoise... Tropical
Advertisers, fashion designers, architects use color workbooks.
However, colors can have very different meanings and people perceive them differently depending on many criterias including the cultural environment.
The Ted community brings together people from all around the planet. People with different cultural environment.... To what extend? Can colors give us an insight about this?
Favorite colors also tells us something about personality. Is there a Ted'sters favorite color?

Feb 15 2012: I continuously find myself drawn to different shades of Red. I find the definition/meaning behind my color as given above to be obnoxiously true. I am passionate about just about everything that I do in my life, and many a time do I find myself Nervous about things that I perhaps shouldn't be. I rather dislike the color grey. It is way too... bleh. I need color! Vibrant and bold, and that is why I gravitate towards my red :)

    Feb 15 2012: No, but I've also always had a soft spot for anything related to elves. That's a bit of a chicken vs the egg scenario though. Do I like elves because they're typically depicted wearing green, or do I like green because it's what elves are typically depicted as wearing.
    
    Of course the easy answer would be how I grew up in a small logging town, in the middle of a massive forest. Unfortunately, when I asked myself "Why do I like the colour green?"... The first idea that popped into my head was "elves".

  Feb 15 2012: I like earth tones too. You can put any natural earthy color together, and it will always look harmonious.

Feb 15 2012: If I had to pick a least favorite I would probably go with white (by itself). Whenever I walk into a house with big white walls I want to sneak back in later and throw paint on them.

  Feb 15 2012: I fell like you about the wall.
  Now I do like the whitness of the snow. But is it really white? I like the way it shines. I catches colors and you can actually see it iridescent blue white some times. I don't like snow so much when it gets too dirty thus!
