I am a pediatrician. Retired. I have made mistakes as well. I have mede a lot of mistakes as well.

Regretted all.

  • Jan 29 2012: "To Err is to HUMAN" so there is a chance that came in later stages of life where you can repay them by doing good.
    So Enjoy what you have to do the best you can !

      Jan 29 2012: agree intent is important. but suggest at some point human error becomes gross incompetence or worse. there is a recent case here where a doctor removed parts of a woman far beyond what was discussed and agreed preop. he thought he was doing her a favour with no overt malice just criminal arrogance lack of empathy and professional ethics and process. it was an error of judgement and everything was not fine.
  • Jan 28 2012: We all make mistakes. What stops us from talking about them is the fear of litigation.
    I can talk to my peers about errors, but, to speak out publicly is to encourage law suits and possible loss of career.
