Create a website to allow registered users to express their yes or no opinon on posted issues with only one vote per user per issue.

A fresh, reliable illustration of the voting member's collective opinion on seleced subjects could be valuable in a representative government like ours. Our elected reps could be sure about our feelings and then act accordingly!

Jan 21 2012: Kudos! Did you not invite me (fiscal conservative/social conservative) on purpose? It is unamerican to exclude on the basis of political conviction. At least you did something! I am suggesting a site for ALL registered voters (non-voters are excluded), even conservative republican right-wing John Birchers. Thanks Jon, and best wishes for your site.

  • Jan 17 2012: What if there is an option for "maybe" and the ability to elaborate.

Many of the issues are not very cut-clear, and I think that sometimes the best step to compromise is finding common ground between the 'yes' and 'no'.

I think that this would save money that politicians already spend to take surveys.

Jan 18 2012: A "still considering" option would be managable, but I fear an open forum will attract a flood of lengthy opinions requiring proper handling. A simple vote for, or against is the essence of my idea. Thanks Albert.
  • Jan 17 2012: I REALLY do not expect our government could listen to us, i just want to talk freely.

Jan 17 2012: Our elected representatives do whatever they believe will get them re-elected. This would be a good way to show them how to accomplish that. Thanks Zona.
