Soon industrial 3D printing will have the capacity to create buildings and whole city blocks

With the ever increasing development of rapid prototyping / 3D printing and its eventual incorporation into architectural practice - bridging the gap between digital design methods and building methods. The cities of the future will be manufactured - either component wise or whole scale - by computer aided robotic machines. What ethical ramifications do people see in this type of construction shift?

    Jan 10 2012: Using a technologically advanced building technique, the Romans were able to create with reinforced concrete the extension of their empire. I do not think that this was all good... but many positive things came from it as well.

    Jan 9 2012: If by "create" you mean habitable, fully-functional structures i say not for a lonnnnnnng time will such capability exist. By then we will have colonized another planet or become extinct.
