how to discover yourself?

We have been life so long but sometime we still questioning our self what was really we want on our life, what is our goal?sometime people disagree with us or when we make our opinion they probably think uncommon, so we just can lack our self without found the answered. Sometime you see you have some talented but it is not really your passion you dont know how to choose which is the right choice. Probably you want go out on some place which is you can discover yourself. You see ignorance, doubting,skeptic and you already tired with all things.

As we see the reality on teenage there are a lot of teen go with wrong decision they took drugs,free sex,etc because they just want feel better and escape from everything, we cant blame them with what was happened because they need to be listen and caring.

Some people use their mask and hide everything . they grew on the self destruction and depression with the situation.So what is means of self discovery?how we know we already on our self discovery?

      Jan 8 2012: thankyou for your opinion Mark rondot. Well we will back about perspective its interesting point of view which is people have a lot of perspective about something. Changing perspective also changing your way. I have been thinking about self mediation as become good choice.
      anyways i am good mark..:) and how about you?i ever learn about france language a bit from my friend too but i am already forget it again XD, i wish can learn about france language again.

    Jan 8 2012: The issue of finding or discovering oneself is far too complicated to deal with in this short format. Although I do not believe any religion has the absolute answers to our doubts and misery, Buddhism does make some very interesting points about oneself and the world around us. It says, for example, that if men were only able to sit quietly for some period of time and think clearly, most of our greatest troubles in the world would be overcome. This, of course, is the path of meditation. Regarding knowing oneself and all around us Buddhism also says one very troubling thing: Nothing is ever what it appears to be. If one can accept this notion without judging it as cynical, but instead understand it for part of what it is then we can get closer to self-understanging. Nothing, in fact, is ever what it appears to be, especially regarding the self.

      Jan 9 2012: thankyou for your opinion alexander beltran. well its good about let ourself to be alone like doinf mediation,self assesment etc,that would be intersting..:) i also facinated about buddhism thought i have been learning general point about buddhism thought and perspective even not really much. Probably i wll reading much books about buddhism or searching on the website. Anyways do you know any website which is i can learning about buddhism as begginer?

    Jan 8 2012: If people are lived and are restricted by believe and tradition they can't develop their inner being in a proper way.
    If the reins are loosened they can't control their inner impulses and things get out of hand.

    Two examples. If children need to sit still in a classroom and listen for hours as was usual in my childhood those children became mad and explosive at the moment school was over. They ran outside screaming and all until they gradually calmed down. The second example is Yugoslavia. Tito was the perfect dictator and there was an icy peace until he died. War broke loose between all groups to settle old problems that were suppressed for decades.

    The same principle is everywhere small and large where traditions change or freedoms are gained. It takes some generations to find a new structure where individuals can grow and develop in freedom and express their uniqueness as valued contributors of the community.

      Jan 8 2012: Thanks for your opinion Frans Kellner. Well you are right we grew up with boundaries of tradition and bellieve its make us cant expand our capability. I agree with your opinion about freedom realted with small or large tradition it has main role of individual develop. :)

    Jan 8 2012: Your question is broad and has many potential answers. One is to put yourself repeatedly in situations you find interesting or which speak to your heart. Notice how you feel and what you do in response. Another answer may be to read about all sorts of different people and how they have chosen to live their lives. Do you see something in these lives that strikes a chord with you? Another is to observe and listen to people from all walks of life if you can, as there is wisdom in everyone. While you undertake such projects, it is useful not simply to be rushing from one task to another without time to think about what you think or feel. You need to give yourself some regular time to process what you see, hear, or feel in your life. It helps some people to write their thoughts down and at some point look back at what you have written to see what seems to be a persistent idea or thought in what you have recorded- something that comes back and back and back.

      Jan 8 2012: Thanks Fritzie Reisner for your opinion its really helpfull i like your advice to feel and response about everything around me, i already trying and expand my interested in one or more area, i guess probably it will help me to find which one will be the best one..:)
