Most people want to change their lives, yet they are afraid to take actions. How can we encourage them to take the necessary actions

For most people, taking the necessary actions to change their lives require commitments of effort and time which will invariably add more stress to their lives AND because there is always a possibility that their lives might not change eventhough they have taken actions, majority choose to take the safer path of remaining status quo

I would like to get ideas from the public on how to encourage them to take actions BECAUSE if more people are willing to do so, we will end up with a world where, there will be more satisfied individuals.

    Jan 10 2012: support people in there transitonal period, help econmicaly, help creativly, help as much as possible in the change. in this they will probably do the same when they see the fruit of this change

    Jan 8 2012: the best way to encourage people take action is force them to do it. I ever learn about human behaviour, people will take action if they stand on the difficult situation and it is push them to take action or still stay on the problem. Probably for the first time we can make example for them with something they should do. If they see we take action and it has good influenced to our life so they will followed.

    I assume if we are in one big project in the company, we make cooperation each others. As leader we should make one position to someone who are have capability on that area, but we can try another who dont have capability on the area. maybe we will have question how can we let someone who dont have good capability as important role??how can we make guarantee our project succesfull.Well i have answered about this because when we let someone who dont have any capability as important role so he/she will use all her/his effort do the best and encouragement take the risk.

    From my statement i have conclusion if we want give encouragement to people take action they need role model or at least example how do it or make someone as important role on the project and make she/he important for the project.

      But what about situations where we are not able to force these people? How do we motivate them?

        Jan 12 2012: well if we still cant be able force these people, so probably we can make personal communication with them. personal communication i mean here about their desire, and what was they would like to do on their life. After we know what was actually they desire so we can easily influenced them and we can motivate related with their desire.
