Does requiring a lone sense of self in exploring consciousness leave room for a collective consciousness concept? How?

  • Dec 30 2011: Perhaps good old Uncle Joe Campbell could be credited with reviving the point of difference between East and West approach to Self.....West taking "each must set out on ones own path" vs the East's "one path for all" method.

    But all true "paths/ways" maintain that all paths lead to the same point. (And add, that includes all perceived errors included)

    Now I assume here you are using the term "Collective Consciousness" in the context which C. G. Jung used it? In which case the "How" isn't a How at all.

    CC is a higher frequency / vibration of consciousness which encompasses the lower frequencies or Plains ( visualize Plains of Consciousness as actually being spheres the lower ones being closer to the centre) so Individual or combined approaches are contained within CC
