Feb 15 2011: Persistence. I have a friend who has run 6 different companies, but all of them failed. And now he is starting his 7th company. Kudos for him!

Feb 16 2011: persistence is fundamental I would agree but I think that such persistence must come from doing what you love to do. I know an entrepreneur who's extremely successful (he's kind of my mentor) and he doesn't roll the dice very much, he has 11 streams of income, most of them wholly or partially passive. He loves helping people, has a passion for personal development and loves the freedom he has to do what he wishes with his time.

My own entrepreneur spark is lit by watching him and wanting the lifestyle he enjoys and the spheres of influence he moves in.

people have an ideal life and the entrepreneur's idea life is what my mentor enjoys.

Feb 15 2011: Not to be an entrepreneur is to admit that I do not know what to do with my life, to accept to be told when I can sleep, when I can eat, and what I should do with most of my waking hours. Give me someone else’s ideas to adopt and to defend. Take my time and my freedom in exchange for my daily bread.

To be an entrepreneur is everything else.

Feb 15 2011: Curiosity. My experience with entrepreneurs is that that they like to know how things work or what people think. But is also about doing. Entrepreneurs do.
