Which knowledge would you take to your next life?

Imagine that scientists prove reincarnation and they find that in your next life you can only remember one simple phrase... What phrase would be?

Mine: "I am responsible for everything good and bad that happens to me in life"

    Dec 28 2011: The phrase I would love to remember is 'Think of strength and strong you will be and think of weakness and weak you will be;

Dec 28 2011: I love that idea of you are what you think, despite others do.

      Thank you

Dec 29 2011: Yes and as Henry Ford said.
Believe you can and you are right. Believe you cannot and you are also right.

Dec 29 2011: '''Think of strength and strong you will be and think of weakness and weak you will be;'' think of numbers and number you will be and think of horse and horse you will be, and think also of death and death you will be and ............. it's really funny man, and it's more funny the idea ' I love that idea of you are what you think, despite others do'(using the above sense).................... and in the end you think of so many things and you are nothing ......... I really love this idea.

Dec 29 2011: I suppose your point of view of being nothing comes from the comparison to the whole Universe or something higher like God.

I think that is quiet pesimistic. What I think is that I am everything, so I can be whatever I want. The only reality I don't have any doubt is that I am me, beyond any metaphysic theory, I am conscious of myself.
        • Dec 29 2011: It takes zero effort to be conscious of the self, it's simple human nature.

Become conscious of that which drives your conscioiusness, and you will be enlightened.

        Dec 29 2011: Mary,

What takes effort is to reach enlightenment just starting from the obvious self consciousness. That is why religions exist, self-help books exist, so many techniques exist... I have even written my own guide.

I deduce by your comments that you reached enlightenment. Congratulations.
  • Dec 28 2011: "Remember your purpose."

Dec 28 2011: Good, a greate way to keep focused.

I would remark 'YOUR', your purpose has to be sincerely yours, no set by others.

      Thank you.
      • Dec 29 2011: In the grand scheme of things, there are no 'others', only 'mind'.
        • thumb
Dec 29 2011: Yes, coceptually that is right.

In reality, we are not alone, and we are said since we were children what to do, not to do this, not to do that, take piano classes, you are going to be a doctor, don't touch this, send me that report...

It is just a question of balance, between your purposes and the others'.

Dec 28 2011: Luis . . . I'm interested that you say you are responsible for everything good and bad that happens in your life. If someone mugs you, who's responsible?

Dec 28 2011: I have concluded that I was the trigger for any bad thing people did to me.

But as I say in one of my books, if other driver crashes to your car, he is responsible for it; that is why laws exist, to debug responsibilities.

At the very end, the truth is that my attitude declares happenings as good or bad, so they are my interpretation, I am responsible for it. Everything happens for one reason, that is the way I have learned of being responsible for my life. Positive point of view, looking at the bottle half-full.

      Thank you for your response.
      • Dec 29 2011: Don Miguel Ruiz stated it beautifully with "take responsibility for your own happiness." Which is in fact taking responsibility for your own emotional state, whatever it is, as we are the result of our thinking.
  • Dec 27 2011: I have a family.

Dec 27 2011: Mmm, interesting, for me that is the way to remember I am not alone.

      Thank you for your sharing.

Dec 29 2011: Imagine that in that next life would be an infinity of people and each of them knowing only one phrase : an infinity of knowledge , you changed nothing but you are a bit important .

Dec 28 2011: i would create a web page with all the information i find useful. and the phrase would be the tinyurl of this page :)

okay, i agree that this was a copout.

Dec 28 2011: Yes, I guess that is like someone grants you with a wish and your wish is to have infinite wishes :)

Dec 28 2011: I would make my mantra:
"Find the kid who pulled my wings off and make him pay."

Dec 28 2011: That very pressing knowledge that I might be eaten.

      Dec 27 2011: I really don't get it.

'Truth' would be the knowledge you would remember?

Or do you mean that you agree with mi proposal?

Dec 27 2011: Wow! Really deep thoughts concentrated in one word.

I do not know if in the next life I would reach your logical conclusions if I reborn with the only knowledge of 'truth'.
