Dream versus reality

Why do we wake up each day from our dreams remembering reality and never wake up from reality remembering our dreams?

    Dec 26 2011: Once you think about it we are living on a tiny pebble that is floating in infinite space. Reality is so bizarre that I think of dreams merely as a different reality.
