What do you think about having more baby than now in your society or country?

I read the article "Is an only child a lonely child?" by Dr. Ethan Wood with regard to family member nowdays. Parents are facing a dilemma, the issue of whether to have a second or third child, because of an decreasing population, both parent jobs, financial resources in the family, lonely child, etc. In my country case, the average number of children per couple is very low, about 1.2 children. I wonder about what you think of it in your country.

Dec 4 2011: I live in Canada and I am the mother of 5 grown children. I would not 'undo' any of them. I marvel at their uniqueness and gifts. Mothering was one of the great joys of my life. Was it hard? Yes but it was very worthwhile. I do understand that it is not politically correct to have so many children and that many feel it is irresponsible but my own country has a declining population that can now only be remedied by immigration and thus it is not a negative when I have raised 5 healthy, contributing members of our society.
