Ending hunger within the US border by 2025, then solving world hunger. Back Yard Garden NETwork
The testbed for the Back Yard Garden NETwork is in St. Louis, MO. A dangerous place by statistics. Property lots stand vacant next to crumbling homes. Why not use ALL these lots to create gardens which will produce food to feed the hungry and homeless. The produce will be sold at market, portions given to food pantries, and workers. Homeless employees and volunteers may opt to engage in a sweat equity housing program, in which we rehabilitate homes and make them green, with as many money saving options as possible. We can revamp the city, the economy, and spirits in the heart of the Gateway to the West. Then, as Ambassadors to the East AND West, as well as the "Show Me" state, we will continue to show other communities how to implement this in their own neighborhoods. The website is on my profile.
