What motivates you?

We all know of the chasm between what we should do and what we actually do. How can we motivate ourselves to achieve more?

      Nov 16 2011: Thanks Duncan.....It seems to me that there are 3 stages in an activity. Before, (Motivation). During (Action). After (Outcome). We have no problem motivating ourselves to do the things that are easy to do, that we enjoy doing, and that give us immediate gratification. However, the things that are not easy to do, that are difficult to start, but which ultimately give us a positive outcome, are the ones that we need all the MOTIVATION we can get.

      Visualisation is a powerful motivational tool. Do you have any others in your Motivational Tool Box?
