How do we capture the collective wisdom and engage the global TEDx communities?

There have been over 1400 TEDx events globally. Each of these TEDx events are nurturing incredible local communities. These communities value education and the power of ideas to change the world. How do we connect these communities and share their collective wisdom?

How do we help these communities take action, both locally and globally?

Feb 11 2011: TEDx organizers should know each other and be aware of each other's projects. How they can know each other? Idea that just came to my mind is showing one TEDx video at each TEDx event.

  Feb 11 2011: I used to translate TEDxTalks that relate to my own TEDx event. I've translated to Brazilian portuguese 2 TEDxTalks: Steve Shapiro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7Fu2iMgHn0) and Chase Pickering (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlSHwMJXffs).

      Feb 12 2011: Yes, indeed. We are looking at the possibility of extending TED's Open Translation Project to incorporate TEDx videos. It's a rather large technical/backend transition, but we're hoping to move it forward this year. In the meantime, translators can of course edit the TEDx talks that make it on to TED.com. And many translators are informally volunteering to translate TEDx talks, which is wonderful and so appreciated!

      Feb 16 2011: I would suggest an expansion: they should be available in any one of the core 33 languages and 12 dialects of Arabic, choose the one subtitle stream you want to see.
